Johnny Rivers, the “Secret Agent Man”, to perform at the Island Event Center

Re-live the genuine sound of old-time rock ‘n’ roll and blues with Johnny Rivers at Treasure Island Resort & Casino! Rivers has 17 gold records, 29 chart hits, two Grammy Awards and sold more than 30 million records. He’s the man who brought you Secret Agent Man, Summer Rain, Poor Side of Town, Baby I Need Your Lovin’ and the covers of Chuck Berry classics Memphis and Maybelline. Rivers will appear on the Island Event Center stage Saturday, March 20 at 8 p.m.

In 1964, when the British Invasion was in progress and American rockers were tough to find on the U.S. pop charts, Johnny Rivers was one of the first to regain a foothold; his first Top 10 record came right in the midst of Beatlemania. His formula was much the same as the British style vintage American rock n’ roll and R&B played with a verve and simplicity that gave his music a contemporary edge. His funky, go-go rock gave him a steady stream of Top 10 records over the years.

Rivers is set to perform in Treasure Island’s Event Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 20.
