Motown Legends Perform Together at Treasure Island

The Temptations featuring Dennis Edwards and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas

Red Wing, Minn. (March 23, 2009) – Treasure Island Resort & Casino is bringing back two of Motown’s famous musical legends, The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. They will be appearing at the Island Event Center on Saturday, May 2 at 8 p.m.

The groups are set to perform their legendary Motown sound in Treasure Island’s new, 3,000-seat Island Event Center. Every seat in the house is within 125 feet from the stage, giving the entire audience an intimate experience with two of Motown’s biggest bands. The acoustics and Elacoustics Linerray V-Dos Sound System, not found at any other casino in Minnesota, and two 14 by 24-foot retractable video screens offer guests an unparalleled concert experience.

The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards knows how to generate wonderful memories as they entertain audiences around the globe. For more than thirty-three years, they have been making music. Hit records include such favorites as like “My Girl”, “Just My Imagination” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” the Temptations are one of the most enduring, influential soul groups of all time. Martha Reeves was schooled in both gospel and classical music, but it was vocal group R&B that caught her imagination. In 1962 she led the group on their debut release under a new name, Martha And The Vandellas From 1963 onwards, they became one of Motown's most successful recording outfits, and Reeves' strident vocals were showcased on classic hits such as "Heat Wave", "Dancing In The Street" and "Nowhere To Run".
